So far, 1.75 million lifeforms have been discovered, described, and
assigned by biologist. Scientist estimates there are 5 to 100 million
life-forms that have yet to be archived, because new species are
being discovered everyday. Since there are so many life-forms, scientists have
divided them into Five Kingdoms (Monera, Protista, Fungi, Plantae & Animalia).
The Animalia (or Animal) Kingdom, is by far the largest
and most diverse kingdom. With more than 1 million of the 1.75 million
living species on Earth recorded as animals. In this section, you will find
some foundational information of the Animal Kingdom and some useful
website links.
